    boot issue with drive attached to Adaptec 71608 adaptor after update


    I have my main boot drive attached to the motherboard and several other drives attached to Adaptec 71608 one of which is also a boot, both windows 10 64 bit.
    After booting to this drive attached to the Adaptec, I updated the Maxview Storage manager software. I now get a BSOD now when I boot to that drive. BAD SYSTEM CONFIG INFO.
    I can boot to the drive attached to the motherboard. Windows automatic repair doesn't work.
    Any ideas?

    inaccessible boot device after January patches are applied

    I have the same issue. I have been unable to boot the drive after the January 2017 updates. Tried safe booting and does not work either. I was able to recover my personal files using an USB to SATA adaptor on a different computer. Using the USB to SATA adaptor,
    I can access everything on the drive without a problem.

    Also tried re-installing (but keeping personal files) and that failed as well.

    Hi,

    I had this very issue after Windows 10 update. I attach via ethernet and not wireless. After trying the diagnostics tools I found this answer. I successfully manager to uninstall the adaptor, restart the pc and the adaptor successfully reinstalled. It took
    a few minutes but then access to internet resumed!

    I hope Microsoft take this on board for any future updates.
