Windows 10: Boot problem during laptop reset and white screen during safe mode

Hi everyone!I was trying to reset my laptop with the reset tool in the windows 10 update settings, but after I did so, I couldn't get past the welcome screen saying that it couldn't connect to the server. I tried to follow some youtube tutorials, but to no avail. While doing so, I tried booting my computer on safe mode, but all I get when I do that is a white screen. I tried opening the task manager when in that white screen, through which I checked if my Graphic Card driver was up to date and it was. I am really out of options. White Screen on Windows 10

Laptop freezes on login screen but works fine in safe mode.

Problem:

I have an HP 15-eq laptop. It suddenly crashed while I was working and now when I try to boot, it reaches the login screen but if move the cursor, the screen freezes and turns black and the laptop stops responding.

Steps taken so far:

1. Startup repair from winRE. It said auto repair was unable to solve the problem.
   
2. HP diagnostics extensive memory test. Result: passed
   
3. Reset while keeping the files. Result: reset was done and all the apps are gone but the problem persists.
   
4. Boot into safe mode. Result: everything seems to be working fine in safe mode, which leads me to believe this is not a RAM or SSD issue, but a software issue. But what type of software issue won't get resolved by a reset?
   
5. Event viewer had only one type of critical event which is event 41 kernel power.
   

OS: Windows 10 build 19044

Kindly help me resolve this issue.

• By saying that you have a "Safe mode problem," did you mean to say that your computer is stuck in Safe mode or are you unable to boot it to Safe mode?
• What troubleshooting steps have you attempted to resolve your concern?

If this is caused by recent programs installed on your computer, then we suggest you to run
System Restore to revert your system files to an earlier date. To run System Restore, follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + R on your keyboard.
• On the run command box, type "RSTRUI.EXE" and hit enter.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

Make sure that you choose the restore point date when your computer was working fine. Please be advised that programs and applications installed on your computer after the restore point will be removed.
