Windows 10: Boot problem with amd 6600 xt

Computer used to work fine - older core I7 32GB ram, win10 w a old video card. Upgraded to 6600 XT. Have a fairly good 600 watt PS. OCZ Used ddu to get rid of old settings and loaded amd drivers. What is so weird is if you boot, it will fail. Just get black screen and it freezes. Then I hit power button because that's the only way to turn it off in frozen state. BUT if you boot again, it will boot OK. It does this ALWAYS. First boot fails, second boot is always OK. Completely weird, mystifying and not very logical. I had to turn off amd services, because it was always saying there's a probl

I noticed that you said the problem suddenly started a few days ago. This makes me wonder if your computer has recently installed Windows updates or drivers for AMD graphics cards.

If you can, you can try to visit AMD's official website and search for older versions of RX 6600XT drivers （such as earlier October or even September drivers） to see if this problem still occurs with older drivers.

Try downloading the driver with Release Date 5/10/2022.

Since you have tried to reinstall Windows 10 from Windows 11, this does not seem to be an OS issue.

I'm more inclined towards possible problems with the graphics card driver, and even the graphics card itself hardware.

Windows boots with black screen every couple of weeks

Every couple of weeks my Windows will boot with a black screen.

The solution is to boot it to safe mode, roll back the graphics display driver and then update it and then boot again and problem solved for a couple of more weeks.

I have AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT with the latest driver.

Can someone help with this weird problem?
