Windows 10: Boot Problems after dual-booting Windows 11 with Windows 8.1

Yesterday i installed Windows 8.1 on a new partition of my hard drive and now basically everytime i boot my PC i get "Press any key to skip disk checking within the next X Seconds" smth like thatMy main OS is Windows 11, after i leave the CHKDSK process finish on boot it boots normallly into Windows 11I even ran "sfc /scannow", the dism restorehealth commmand and chkdsk again just to be sure and none reports problems and i still get that on every bootThe real problem is when i try to boot into Windows 8.1, i just cant even pass the boot screen, it just gets stuck booting and there is no disk a

Just remember if u want UEFI on Windows 10 u most have UEFI on your Windows 7 too if not u need to go change it in the bios everytime u want to go back to Windows 7.

I was having a slow boot issue on my Windows 7 install a little while back. It would take about 30 - 40 extra seconds to boot up for whatever reason.

I would try following these steps, while this didn't solve my issue, it did increase Read/Write to where it should be.

In the end, I had to reinstall my Windows 7 entirely to fix the booting issue. It was taking around 35 seconds to boot, and after the fresh install it takes about 7 seconds to boot.

You mean dual boot? Do you have 7 and want to add 8 or visa versa? Either way it works. Nothing special about it just a few easy steps. Partition -> Windows installation -> reboot.

You can go to win + r -> msconfig -> ok -> and there choose boot tab and look what OS is there and also you can check in win + r -> diskmgmt.msc -> ok -> and look in partitions
