Hi, i tried to install android emulator on my dell laptop. When i first run the emulator it ask to activate hyper-v. So i went to control panel and tick the hyper-v option in add windows feature. Next my laptop went restart and it enter system diagnostic tool instead to windows. So i checked bios and see that all boot sequence option disappear. What i tried to fix it are:1. Enable/disable secureboot2. Enable/disable virtualization3. Enable/disable legacy bootNone worked so far

    Hyper-V

    Hi,

Hyper-V has a dependency on your System supporting and having enabled Hardware support for Virtualisation. Because of how allocates system resources to a VM directly rather than the simulated approach of a normal VM program. This is typically listed as either
"Virtualization" or "Intel Virtualization Technology" please check this is enabled in your BIOS.

Without it, even if it has been enabled through Windows Hyper-V won't properly activate as it isn't supported.

    Can't Enable Hyper-V in Windows 10 Professional

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I appreciate your effort on this. As per my research the error code 0x800f0831 is generated when .Net Framework 3.5 is not enabled on the computer. I suggest you to try enabling .Net Framework 3.5 on the computer. Follow the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows key + R, to open
      Run
      dialog box.
    2. Type appwiz.cpl and click on
      OK
      .
    3. Click on Turn Windows features on or off.
    4. Now, select the check box for .Net Framework 3.5 and click on
      OK.
    5. Restart the computer.

You can also check if Virtualization feature is enabled in BIOS or not, if it is not enabled, I suggest you to enable it.
