Bootable USB Question: Does USB Controller on USB Matter

Hello all, I am quite thankful for the guides on tenforums for helping me out during my times of crisis. I have however found an interesting snag that I hit and have been banging my head against for the last 2 weeks. I made an unattended install of Windows 10 Pro following the guide to a T. After my first batch of 10 USBs I purchased and got running I was off to the races for my job getting a bunch of computers imaged at once. I figured I would buy some more of the same exact USBs as prior, just a few months later. I then proceeded to absolutely lose my mind for the last month and a half over why I would see the setup screen at the start of the image for my new USBs. It was not until tonight that after mistakenly adding a working USB to the hub of 10 that I noticed in the imageUSB program that it displays as ASMedia and the rest as General UDisk. After imaging it and testing it, the General UDisk USBs all fail to fully autounattend, and the ASMedia USBs all function with identical images on them. Can anyone explain to me what may be the cause of this and of a possible fix? I have 30 General UDisk sticks I would love to pair with my 10 ASMedia sticks to have some fully unattended imaging going for the 150 computers I still have yet to do.

    :)

    Multi-bootable USB

Hey guys from TPU, couldn't find any specific thread pertaining to the question asked on title. As mentioned, I'm trying to create a bootable USB, but with many specifics boots available.

I've been trying to create one with multiple boot device including one that enables me to run Windows 10 directly on the USB Thumb Drive but to no avail.

The list of bootable images i'm trying to create are

    1. Windows 10 (A full OS running from thumb drive)
    2. Windows 10 ISO (Bootable disk image for fresh install)
    3. MemTest86+

Have tried YUMI or UUI from the website USB PenDrive Linux but as this is my first time, i don't know how am i screwing up or am doing it right.. Anyone got a rough idea on a step by step guide? Thanks!

    Multi-bootable USB

We didnt use ISOs, we had to convert them to .imgPTN when we were using them. But we graduated from easy2boot when we could get all the tools we needed on 10.

Thats a whole other issue. If you cant see the USB at all during boot then you wont make any headway getting easy2boot working.

I can try and post the document later when I have some time.

    Bootable USB to ISO

He's not trying to make a bootable USB. He wants to restore the ISO from the bootable USB (the reverse operation).

What software are you trying to restore? You can get the Windows 7 ISOs from Digital River: http://social.technet.microsoft.com...c99-42db-80c8-6300f01f7aae/windows-7downloard
