Windows 10: BOOTMGR Missing & Element Not Found Installation in Different Drive

HI. I went to turn on my pc and and out of nowhere I get the BOOTMGR is missing screen. I was trying to fix it in Windows 10 following instructions on https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-rebuild-the-bcd-in-windows-2624508 However I run into another problem: For some reason Windows installation is showing up in drive J instead of C. It was installed on an M.2 SSD in the C drive.So I ran the command anyway and is gives "Element not found."I searched some more for solutions to fix the 'Element Not Found' issue but I'm stumped on some of those steps that tells you to run commands on disks like:"S

BOOTMGR is missing.......

BOOTMGR is missing... I attempted to install Windows Vista and Windows Vista had an error occur and could not install... I waited 30 mins for it to exit the install but it never did... Consequently, I restarted the computer...

Ever since then I get this message...

"BOOTMGR is missing..."

"Press CTRL+ALT+DLT to restart."

Everytime I do nothing happens... Same message.

What do I do?? *Confused

 

Bootmgr is missing

it's my main desktop PC that won't boot up.
from the bootable flash drive, i can get into the windows advanced troubleshooting menu, but nothing is working from there on, i can get command prompt to work




it's an SSD if it makes any difference

I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you have tried to resolve the issue. Do let us know the Edition of Windows 10 installed in your PC e.g. Windows 10 Home; Windows 10 Pro etc.?

There are a number of possible causes for BOOTMGR errors, including the most common "BOOTMGR is missing" error message.

The most common reasons for BOOTMGR errors include corrupt and misconfigured files, hard drive and
operating system upgrade issues, corrupt hard drive
sectors, an outdated
BIOS, and damaged or loose hard drive interface cables.

Do you have Windows 10 installation disc with you?

Please follow the below steps to resolve the issue:

• Put the Windows installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.

• Press a key when the message Press any key to boot from CD or DVD
  appears.
  
  If your PC does not detect the media automatically

• During the restart process, read the screen for any instructions that explain how to interrupt normal startup and enter the basic input/output system (BIOS) setup utility. Most PCs use the F2, F10, ESC, or DEL key to begin the BIOS Setup.
• Look for a tab in the BIOS Setup Utility that is labeled Boot Order,
  Boot Options, or Boot. Following the directions on the screen, use the arrow keys to go to the
  Boot Order, then press Enter.
• Locate the CD, DVD, or USB flash drive (this might be called Removable Device) in the Boot list. Following the directions on the screen, use the arrow keys to move the drive up so that it appears first in the Boot list. Press Enter. The boot order sequence
  is now changed to boot from the CD, DVD, or USB flash drive.
• Press F10 to save your changes and to exit the BIOS Setup Utility. Select
  Yes in the confirmation window. The PC will restart. Allow the PC to restart normally. The scan will take a few minutes and remove any malware that may be infecting your computer.

• Click Repair your computer.
• Click the operating system that you want to repair, and then click Next.
• In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click Command Prompt.
• Type Bootrec /RebuildBcd, and then press ENTER.
