Windows 10: Bootmgr missing when starting

Discus and support Bootmgr missing when starting in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; i upgraded from 7 to 10 (insider preview build 10.0.17134.167) and now when i start i’m getting the message that bootmgr is missing, press...     Bootmgr missing when starting


    i upgraded from 7 to 10 (insider preview build 10.0.17134.167) and now when i start i’m getting the message that bootmgr is missing, press ctl+alt+del.


    ive tried everyhing i know including the recovery option on my 7 installation disk and 10 disk that i ceated originally. System restore, startup repair do not work and does not show an operation system when promted to select one. I have tried the bootrec.exe tool and no options listed worked.


    Last, I tried chkdsk from the command prompt and here is what it states, “The master file table’s (MFT) BITMAP attribute is incorrect. Windows has checked the file system and found problems. Please run CHKDSK /SCAN to find the problems and queue them for repair. It ahows the option but when attempting any of these i get the following, “A snapshot error occurred while scanning this drive. Run an offline scan and fix. Failed to transfer logged messages to the event log with a status 50.


    I should also note that when trying to change setup options (F2 when starting), the only thing i can change is the date and time. It requires an admin password and does not recognize my admin password so i cannot access this.

    yes it says the the BOOTMGR is missing when it goes to the boot screen and yes everything is set in the bios to boot from cd/dvd

    BOOTMGR is missing.......

    BOOTMGR is missing... I attempted to install Windows Vista and Windows Vista had an error occur and could not install... I waited 30 mins for it to exit the install but it never did... Consequently, I restarted the computer...

    Ever since then I get this message...

    "BOOTMGR is missing..."

    "Press CTRL+ALT+DLT to restart."

    Everytime I do nothing happens... Same message.

    What do I do?? *Confused Bootmgr missing when starting :confused:
