Windows 10: bootrec /rebuildbcd errors

I am in the Windows recovery mode cmdline. After I type bootrec /rebuildbcd and hit 'y' and 'n' accordingly to adjust my boot configs, I get the following error:

The system cannot find the path specified

:)

 

bootrec /scanos or bootrec /rebuildbcd not working

I'm getting an odd issue where if I run either command, they don't run all the way through. bootrec /scanos doesn't tell me how many (if any) installations of Windows were found, and bootrec /rebuildbcd tells me it might take a while, but then quits after
a few seconds with no other words.

Might be worth nothing that bootrec /fixboot returned as having denied access.

Any thoughts?

 

Error code 0xc0000034 with Windows 10, bootrec /rebuildBCD returns error

I had the same "log off" problem instead of "shut down" until "Fast startup" was disabled:

• Control Panel and click on Power Options
• Click the link of the left-hand side ‘Choose what the power buttons do’
• Click the ‘Change settings currently unavailable’ link
• Tick the ‘Turn on fast start-up’ box under Shut-down settings

Windows 10 - BCD Missing. Error code: 0xc00000034

I have tried the suggestions posted by JKJWGOO. Unfortunately it did not work. I was unable to add the installation to the boot list with the error "the requested system device can not be found" (step that follows bootrec /rebuildbcd). Still searching
for a resolution.
