Windows 10: Border error on almost all apps

    Border error on almost all apps


    Hello all!

    I'm currently using a Surface Pro 7 with Windows 10 and I have an issue with the borders on almost all apps. I never backed up my PC sadly so I don't have access to a restore. Take a look at screenshots below for reference. As you can see, the exit buttons are kind of weird and on some apps they don't appear at all. Also, the border almost looks like its a thicker version of windows 7's aero theme. It's really annoying and I'm almost convinced to reset my PC. Please help me!

    For us to isolate your concern with the black border on your computer, we would like to know the following:

    • When did this happen?
    • Were there any updates made on your computer prior to this concern?
    • To make sure we have not missed on anything, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
    • Send us a screenshot of the black border.

    • Are you getting any error messages?
    • Are you using the Microsoft Garage Mouse without Borders, or a third party app?
    • Were there any changes on your device before the issue occur?
    • Aside from reinstalling it, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    I suggest you to press F11 key on these Microsoft Edge and Mail App Windows and check, if you could get all options on top Border edges of these Windows.
