Windows 10: BOSD - UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP / IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Hi, i'm wondering if someone out there may be able to help me with this.

I've been having constant BSOD's with multiple different errors - mainly those mentioned in the subject. These happen constantly, and there doesn't seem to be any real specific thing I can pinpoint.

I'd say 95% of the time it's whilst playing games, there are occasions I could just be simply browsing a website and it happens as well.

I'm leaning towards the issue been hardware related, although there's nothing there that really confirms or denies this.

I've ran memtest ,ran an sfc /scannow, pulled out and plugged back in all components on the motherboard, made sure nothing is overclocked yet the issues still persist.

I can sometimes leave my PC running for multiple days on end and nothing happens, but then it can happen 4 or 5 times in the same day. There's a link here to my recent minidumps if anyone is willing to take a look and see if they can help point out a definitive reason why this is happening.

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP

Hi all,

For a few months I've had BSOD issues occurring shortly after 'waking' my PC from sleep, but also seemingly at random, and while using all kinds of different applications (Rocket League, Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.).

I was getting 'IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL' frequently, but just today I got a new one, UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP.

BOSD with IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Hey, im currently running the driver verifier but when its crashing its not saying DRIVER_VERIFIED_DETECTED_VIOLATION. Its still displaying IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.
The dumps i linked to was from one of the crashes while running the verifier. Should i just continue to run the verifier and check if it gives a different outcome?

 

Random BSOD IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

There is evidence in both of the errors (IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a) and UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (7f)) that the issue is related to USB such as:

USBXHCI!WPP_RECORDER_INITIALIZED

USBXHCI!Isoch_RetrieveNextStage+0x614

Can you update the Asmedia USB drivers to the latest version.

Also, I might suggest to update the BIOS to the latest version (improves USB compatibility).

If updating the BIOS back up critical files beforehand as the rare chance of a failed BIOS update may result in system failure.
