Windows 10: Bose NC 700 Headset won't connect to laptop Bluetooth properly? Try this simple trick...

So I was helping a client troubleshoot their Bose headset connectivity issues with their laptop. I was stumped for days and nothing I read up on in forums really helped. Long story short, I went to Device Manager, found both of the Bose Bluetooth entries, right-clicked then hit "scan for hardware changes".This isn't a perfect solution since it has to be done each time you disconnect and reconnect. However, it did work multiple times in a row so I have a fair amount of confidence in it. Is a pair of Bose 700 NC headphones (or Bose NC 700) the same as Bose 700 HP headphones? Having trouble connecting using Bose Music

I haven't been able to connect my Bose 700 NC to Bluetooth using Bose Music. The instructions that come up in Bose Music are for a Bose 700 HP. Are the Bose 700 NC and the Bose 700 HP the same as far has connecting the 700 NC using Bose Music? Please advise. Thanks.

 

Bose NC 700 Headphones Not Connecting

Bose NC 700 HP can't connect windows 11. It can find it though. Just dont connect.
I have tried to add device... It worked before I bought a new PC with windows 11...
I have tried to remove and find it...

Based on the information you have provided, it seems like the Bose QuietControl 30 Bluetooth headset is already connected since it is showing from Devices and Printers. I suggest that you set the Bose QuietControl 30 Bluetooth headset as your default playback
and recording device. To do this follow the steps below:

1. Right-click the volume icon from the System tray on the lower right side of your desktop.
   
2. Choose Playback devices.
   
3. Go to Playback tab, select Bose QuietControl 30 Bluetooth headset (driver) and then click
   Set Default.
   
4. Click Apply and then hit OK.
   
5. Go to Recording tab, select Bose QuietControl 30 Bluetooth headset (driver) and then click
   Set Default.
   
6. Click Apply and then hit OK.
   
7. Restart your computer to apply the changes.
