  1. Both Mail/Calendar and Microsoft Store crashes

Hello.Let me explain: I recently discovered a big problem with my Mail and Calendar app, where they both decide to crash seconds after opening them. All the troubleshooting guides I found online didn't help me, so I decided to simply uninstall/reinstall the app, and that's when I discovered that, while opening and browsing the Microsoft works just fine, as song as I try to download an app, the app seems to load for some seconds before crashing.I should also add that both apps didn't gave me any type of info or window to tell me there was a problem, not even the "[program] is not responding" po

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. Both Mail/Calendar and Microsoft Store crashes :)

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

    Mail + Calendar Crashing

    Hi guys,

After the newest windows 10 update (10586.22), my Calendar and Mail apps no longer open - they crash during the splash screen. I have tried restarting my computer multiple times, and used WSRESET as well. Neither have resolved the issue. The Calendar is essential to my daily life and there is no real alternative in the store. Is there a way to fix this or to re-install the Calendar and Mail apps? I've seen threads about using Powershell to uninstall the apps, but I've also read that using it to reinstall the apps actually end up breaking apps post-november. Any insight would be helpful!

    Cheers

EDIT: Just used ccleaner to uninstall mail + calendar, and reinstalled via Store. Same problem (crashing on splash screen) persists. *Sad

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hey Shawn,
I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused
    Go figure!
