Windows 10: Both my Laptop and my brother's same kind encounter a BSOD every time we take it outside...

We have also both installed the same SSD as an upgrade which is the samsung evo 970 plus, the laptop is a Lenovo Legion 5. The error I get is "DPC Watchdog Violation" but the last one I got was "Driver Power State Failure" after I upgraded to windows 11 as an attempt to fix it. I get the error every time I open my laptop at the Uni library, without connecting anything to it. The second I bring it back to my house and open it, I just click continue on the blue screen and then it starts working fine, whereas in the library it would keep restarting and getting a BSOD over and over again. kind of strange...... When I can get into xp..... I am open CCC and goto ovdriver thing.... click test setting without changing anything... sometimes it passes and sometimes it does not.....

Then BSOD at random times.

 

Brother Printer exists & works, but won't "Install" - Why?

Check whether I understood you well.
First try: Add new printer, Windows finds printer and loads its own drivers/programme automatically. It wprks but not with the Brother drivers.
Second try: Brother package: failed
I suggest a third try: Add new printer; the printer that I wanted is not listed; continue and see of your model is listed. in the list of printers.
I had difficulties with setting up another Brother printer, and the third try solved it.

 

Using laptop outside

We're having a sunny day here today with very comfortable temperatures and a slight breeze so I'd like to use my laptop outside on the patio. The problem is that my screen is VERY reflective and when I try to use the computer, there are so many reflections from my surroundings that I can't make out what's on the screen very well at all - and that's sitting in full shade. It's even worse out in the full sun.

Is there anything I can do to make my laptop usable outside? For what it's worth, I have the same issue trying to use my cell outdoors; it's so hard to read that I have to step inside to have any real prospect of reading it.

It's a Dell 5559 running Window 10 Home, build 1809.
