Windows 10: Both my old and new printers are printing Word docs in very large font

Hi. I had a Brother MFC-J5335DW and all was well until Brother updated the firmware - their word. This created many problems including every Word doc was now printed in very large font size which I estimate to be size 24 or 26, instead of size 12.

Brother were brilliant - they'll be collecting the unit shortly to investigate what's gone wrong.

I decided to buy a new printer and now have a Canon Pixma TS6350. I'm impressed apart from one thing - it too prints every Word doc in size 24 or 26 font.

I've haven't changed any hardware or print settings in my laptop. What do you suggest, please?

I have Windows 10 version 2004 OS Build 19041.450 (and will update my signature in a moment!)

Printing word docs

I have windows 10 and Microsoft office 16.

Suggestions did not work. I problem lies with emailed documents which are in word. New word documents print.

The printer reads printing reports.

Hi Amit,

I did method 1 and 2, and 3 but will try the "compatibility" mode.

There is nothing wrong with the printer, it's connected properly, I was able to print (in color) from something I "scan" file saved as pdf.

It's when I try to print Microsoft word doc that nothing prints (blank). I even tried saving the the file as pdf and then try to print it, but again......blank.

Any suggestions on why the printer is not recognizing the "texts" on the word doc?

Epson printer starts to print Word doc then stops

Hi, I purchased a new Epson printer as my old one started to act up so thought as I would have to buy new ink - almost $200.00 I would just by one of the new eco printers. I thought this would fix my printing problems!! It didn't. The new printer does exactly
what the old one did so very frustrated.

The frustrating thing is that it is not consistent - some times it works perfectly , other times it doesn't. It will start to print, get half way through the page and then stop. The odd time it will start up again but most often it just spews out the paper
half printed.

I have wasted so much paper and ink now on half printed documents!!

I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer hoping that would fix it - it didn't. I spoke to Epson - they tried a couple of things and that didn't help.

It's odd as my old printer worked just fine and then suddenly started this behaviour and this new one is doing exactly the same thing so makes me think it is something to do with Office 365 or computer - also a Microsoft product - Surface Book.

I looked on Microsoft for help - found a page with a couple of suggestions - when I did one the printer did then start to print again and printed the full page it had just stopped half way through but I don't think that will continue. There was also the
following note but I have no idea where the "References" are that they say to check!!

Anyone have any ideas or had a similar problem that they managed to fix?
