Windows 10: Both: Win Update and MS Update Assistant fail with 2004 Update on my SURFACE Laptop from MS !!

I have updated my Keltron and DELL 2 Laptops to Win10 2004 with NO problems.But Win Update to my Surface failed:

Some people proposed to use:MS Update Assistant, but it failed again, same error code than beforeBTW, seen this 0x80070002 code for a while

What may I do, except Try again?

Ms just try the BS on again ?, o yes they did.

Turning off updates stopped MS from nagging me to upgrade to Win 10 from Win 7 on my gaming rig. My laptop is running Win 7 with automatic updates and so far MS hasn't thrown a pop up at me that I couldn't click X to close. Maybe Win 10 is more intrusive with updates.

I did not even pay attention to this update until now.
Just checked my update log and discovered at least 10 failed attempts to install it.
Checking for updates manually showed that I'm up to date, though.

Now I simply downloaded an upgrade tool from MS and few minutes later it is already at 82%.

 

80246002 Error from windows update

Is the system date correct? Yesterday a faced inability to update due to having the date set in 2013 when i first booted up my Surface pro. The next option would be installing the latest version of windows update manually from the MS site.
