    Bottom Half of Screen is Frozen Software Locked


    Specs:Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC Version 1809, OS Build 17763.6189 64bitIntel Celeron J64128GB RAMSSDHave a POS touchscreen that is currently having an issue where it is intermittently freezing on the bottom half of the screen. This is not hardware cause but software as even when a mouse is connected I cannot click on anything in the bottom half of the screen. However, when I have paint open I can draw a line from the top of the screen to the bottom fine but cannot start the line from the bottom of the screen going to the to. Can't click or tap on the taskbar but when a keyboard is connected I

    Lock Screen Not Locking


    Hey Guys I've had some issues with the Windows 10 lock screen on my Surface Book. When I close the lid it's to set to sleep. When I open the lid half of the time it will use the camera to verify, and half of the time it will have just say swipe lock screen and provides no security. Also, when the screen times out it wont lock when a key is pressed to turn it back on, rather it just goes straight back into the desktop. I've looked through all the setting regarding the lock screen and sleep settings and haven't had any luck. Any suggestions?

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community.

    I would suggest you to follow the below steps to try resolving the issue.

    Setting the timeout for Lock Screen

    • Press Windows + I and select personalization.
    • Select Lock screen.

    • Select the Screen Timeout setting.
    • Select the time of timeout you need and check.

    Keep us posted if the issue resolves to help you better.

    Bottom Half of Screen is Frozen Software Locked

    Its working all fine now. Without any need of reset. It did turn out that this frozen screen was due to Microsoft's new app of lock screen beta. Uninstalling that app and once using it on kids mode perfectly solved the problem. Since then this issue never
    came. Thank you for all your suggestions.
