Windows 10: Bottom section of maximized window is blank.

Below are images of the issue I am having with a few users. One instance it is seen in File Explorer, the other, in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. This problem arrived during the tail end of the 1709 updates and has seen its way into the latest 1803 packages. Their Lenovo T560's and docking stations are up to date with the latest firmware, Win10 is on its latest update, and the drivers are all on the latest. There is a third user who is using a Lenovo ThinkCentre M72e so the issue isn't specific to the hardware. Only 3 users are seeing this problem out of 100+ which many have the same machines.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Windows won't maximize

I understand the inconvenience that you are unable to maximize/minimize the programs in Windows 10, we will help you to resolve this issue.

Kindly let us know with the following information:

• Is this issue specific to any applications/programs?
• Were you able to see the maximize, minimize and close icons?
• Have you tried to perform these using different user account?

This issue might be due to corrupted/ missing system files.

I suggest you to run System File Checker and check if it helps:

Method 1: Run the SFC.

System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Right click on the Start button, click on
  Command Prompt (Admin).
  
• 
  Type “sfc /scannow” without quotes and hit
  Enter.
  
• 
  After the scan, restart the computer.
  
• 
  Now check for the issue.

Why not have a Windows section?

I agree an OS section would be nice, with Windows, Linux, Mac under it, prob the best way to go. But that would technically be more subforums than anyone had mentioned, so your DVD comment would pertain more to your suggestion than the previous ones *Laugh :laugh:
