Windows 10: Bought a heydes canyon and want to completely reformat.

Windows 10 pro.


Haydes canyon nuc..


I want to completely reformat everything as i am giving it to my brother... I wish to totally reformat to fresh.. but i need to have windows installed after with all drivers etc..


Windows came on a complementary package from intel via starterpack.intel.com link.. quite honestly.. i dont know the activation code for windows... And even tho i have obviously used it.. they say it cant be used now.. ****


How do i retrieve the password? Or how will i activate windows after i re-format?


I think he wants a larger ssd... So this will be from fresh.

Recover or Reformat?

The reformat won't budge?

I did what you said and then was told to remove the CD from the CD-Rom Drive, put in the recovery CD and then press the 'OK' button to continue

So I changed to the next disk but the OK doesn't appear to be being 'pressed'. Yes I have pushed enter on the keyboard which is what I have been using to get me through the other steps..

Any suggestions?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
