Windows 10: Bought a new computer a few months ago and I cant access the settings pages related to...

Whenever I try to open a page in windows settings related to Virus threats the computer doesn't let me, and directs me to the Windows Security page and says this:I bought this computer for myself generally for computer games a few months ago. Is there a way to fix this or at least a way to get an explanation on what is exactly happening here?

BSOD on new computer while gaming

I just got a new computer about a month ago. Everything is new and I get BSOD (windows 10) while gaming mostly although it sometimes happens while I'm just using the computer. Sometimes the computer doesn't BSOD and just gives me a Access Violation Error. Not sure if related.

Steps I have taken:

• Updated all drivers and bios to latest versions

• Checked ram with windows memory test to see if ram is faulty. (A stick was and it was removed waiting for replacement)

• Clean Installed Windows after finding faulty ram

• I had 2 x 2080Ti installed, I removed one, tested and then swapped cards; issue still exist

 

One computer cannot access other network computers.


So I've tried every troubleshooting step I know:

• Double checked that Net Bios was enabled
• Ran a bunch of network commands:
  • flushed DNS
  • registered dns
  • pinged and located the named computers successfully
• Reset my router to factory settings

Nothing works when I try to access via explorer. I'm still baffled by the fact that every other computer can access each other AND access this computer. It's just the outgoing connection from this machine that doesn't work.

Any thoughts?

 

access BIOS settings in Win 10

I have an 8-year old computer running Win 10. I need to access the BIOS settings. It used to be the holding down the F2 key during startup would bring up the BIOS screen in Windows computers. But this no longer works. A web article listed a complicated
series of steps leading to a reboot . . . but still no access to BIOS. Any suggestions?
