Bought a new computer but can't use it due to not having an MS account...

Bought a new computer but can't use it due to not having an MS account...the dialogue will not accept a code or new password...either by phone or email... I'm logged in here using my old computer due to verification by phone...but no real MS account password yet... I need to shut down the new computer and boot the old one to see an email then reboot the new one to enter the code...no go...same using the phone...no go.MS is keeping me from using my new computer. I'm now a criminal or hacker for trying to use my own computer?I can get a few pages into starting the new computer...then am stuck...

  2. Windows 10 New User Accounts

    • Which is the new user account type you have created and facing these issue?
    Built in Administrator account

    Local Account

    MS Account

    2. Have you made any changes on these accounts after creating them?

Not initially. Tried rebooting, removing and readding after a reboot. Tried adding via CLI and GUI interfaces

After that I tried one of the suggestions and tried coping a good account over the newly created account. That did not work

    3. Does this issue persists on any specific user account?

No it persists on all newly created accounts do not work

    4. What are the troubleshooting steps you have created in resolving the issue?

Just the ones mentioned in Step 2

    5. Do let us know if you have any user account with no issues on your computer?

only the initial account that was created when I upgraded to windows 10

  3. Login not accepted for my MS Account

Let me explain, again, what I have experienced:

    • I use my MS account to unlock this computer. No problem doing that
    • I attempted to use other apps requiring the MS login, like Outlook, or even this forum, and it would not accept the very same credentials I used to unlock the computer
    • I used my wife's MS account to login to this forum so that I could seek help
    • I have tried resetting my MS account twice, and that did not work either.
I would appreciate suggestions OTHER than wha I have already tried

    Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:
    1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
    2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:
