Windows 10: Bought a new laptop and it wont allow me to install gaming services. Have read a lot of...

Keep getting same error message and seen many of the same compalints. Please provide a work around for this issue. Please note ot os a new laptop and gaming services os not onstalled so please dont instruct to uninstall

Gaming Services and the Minecraft Launcher Will Not Install

Error code: 0x80070490

Device: Brand new Acer Nitro 17.

I'm trying to install the Minecraft Launcher. When I click install and go to the Library page of the Windows Store I see it's trying to install both the MC Launcher and also Gaming Services. Both fail to install and give the above error code.

Things I've tried:
1) Windows Update - I've installed all updates, including optional updates.

2) Resetting the Gaming Services app via the Apps menu. Gaming Services IS NOT IN THE LIST.

3) Resetting the Windows Store per this suggestion (Redirecting)

4) wsreset.exe

While resetting the Windows Store I get a number of errors. I've pasted the results of step 2.3 here: Add-AppxPackage : Deployment failed with HRESULT: 0x80073D02, The package could - Pastebin.com

While resetting the Windows Store and reinstalling Gaming Services (step 3.2 and 3.3 in the suggestion above)

new laptop minecraft wont load

Bought a new laptop, windows 10. cant access the xbox app and minecraft is already installed but it wont open, any help or suggestions appreciated. thanks

 

I installed windows 10 on a preowned purchase laptop...wont play games! minimizes then wont reopen.

i recently bought a toshiba satelite laptop from my brothers girlfirend. i updated the computer and installed the new windows 10 on it. now when i install and try to play games it pops up with "user account control" warning, i select yes allow and it
boots the game/program for a second and then minimizes and wont boot up. these games were previously installed before the windows 10 update and then re installed once i started to have thise problem...wont allow other games and programs to boot. what is
the issue here? thanks ps i think this may be an admin issue.
