Windows 10: Bought a used PC, cannot remove old administrator or boot new windows from USB

I purchased a dell optiplex 3000 thin client used on ebay. It appears to be an used from a corporate office and has a lot of restrictions on it. I can't even right click! I would like to reset this to factory settings and do a clean install of windows 10. What options do I have to remove everything from the previous owner and make this my computer? 1 I have tried to boot from a USB with the windows installer. It does not let me do this. I have the USB plugged into the USB port with the power button logo on it 2 I do not have the administrator password. 3 I cannot run or download programs on

I understand that you want to delete one of the old administrator accounts from your computer. If you want to save the data from the old Administrator account, I would suggest you to copy the data from the old user account from
C: Users\<Old User Account> and move it to your backup drive or folder in a different location, before deleting the account.

I would also like to know what exactly happens when you try to remove the old Administrator account from your PC.

To delete an Administrator account from your PC, you will have to login to another user account with
Administrator access as User Accounts cannot be deleted through a Standard account.

Once you have logged into your new Administrator account, you can follow the steps mentioned below to remove the old Administrator account from your PC. To do this, by

1. Login to the new Admin User Account that you want to keep.
2. Tap on 'Windows + I' on the keyboard.
3. Click on 'Accounts'.
4. Now click on 'Family & other users'.
5. Select the old Administrator account from the list.
6. Click on 'Remove'.

How to activate Windows license on new PC, forgot to remove from old PC, old PC can't be booted up

I own a Windows license purchased from the Microsoft Store. I didn't realize I'd need to remove it manually from my old PC before using it on my new one (I assumed I could just activate it on the new one and have the old one become defunct, I'm spoiled by how dead simple and free OSX is).

The old PC has already been picked apart for parts so it is impossible for me to boot it up to perform the removal/deactivation of the license now.

I've removed the old PC from my devices list, which seems like it should logically disable the license, but no such luck.

So, how do I use the license I've paid for on my new PC?

 

Windows 10 USB boot

Hi there, am not a windows 10 expert. I have a pc in the bedroom on windows 10, I messed up the bootloader trying to fix the xp on that system.

System wont boot, trying to repair via win 10 usb installer.

Downloaded the media creation tool to install windows 10 installer on usb stick. Not compatible with a host of usb sticks I have. Tried the usb sticks that others use, but I think they use rufus; as the media creation tool by win 10 does not detect the usb stick.

So quick question, the win10 machine i am trying to repair the bootloader is a win7 upgraded to win10.
If i were to use the usb win10 installer to "repair installation" does the version of the iso downloaded via the media creation tool matter?

There is three options:
Windows 10
Windows 10 Home
Windows 10 N

Also is there a step by step instead of using rufus as I want to try an alternative method of creating a usb win 10 installer. Preferably with more compatibility.

System is a asus sabertooth 990 (r2?) with AMD phenom X 6.

Also is there any other software I can load onto the usb that can repair the bootloader easily?
