Windows 10: Bought Windows 10 Home to replace lost activation key. Brand new key from Microsoft store...

Hi!I originally had a windows 8 that upgraded to 10 home N. I lost my activation key though out my moves. Since Streamlabs won't run on my windows anymore since it's not activated I can't stream to my friends. I bought a new key from the Microsoft store and have the key for Windows 10 home. Not the N version. When I type in the key it says it doesnt work with the 0xc004f050 error code.With a little bit of digging it looks like I have to uninstall my current version and reinstall Windows 10 Home. Is there any other way that I should have tried first? I'd rather not wipe my computer.Thanks y

my windows 10 oem didn't come with a product key

windows 10 can also activate solely based on HWID no key required how do you think the microsoft store activation works it installs a generic key and activates based on hwid

Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.

Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?
