    1) Pull the Ram as described in my last post and try it.

    2) Then I'd do something (what people may think bizarre) Windows is activated ok I presume, I'd install Windows on the other M200 and disconnect all the other HDDs. It'll only take 20 minutes but you'll prove or disprove the integrity of the other SSD/Windows installation.

PCs are weird things, I discount nothing.

    Hey @Torquemada

you think its possibly the SSD? THe thing runs pretty good idle, or just browsing online. Hell it even ran the torture tests OK. The issue is super random and the only thing that consistently crashes is the main thing I want to use on it. Lightroom. and when it crashes its a full on freeze that can only be cleared with a full power cycle. Even when I get a blue screen it freezes and doesnt restart the computer like its supposed to.

I have memtest running right now and its 64% thru the 4th pass. should I let it keep going? stop it and pull memory and try to run it one stick at a time? or?

  3. Let it run, I'd hate to upset axe0 after all the help he's given.

My gut feeling is Ram even tho' it's passing all the tests. It'll be interesting to see what happens when you start trying them individually.

It's weird how Lightroom can consistently fault it . I'd still do the Windows install just for the peace of mind.

Just been on the Gigabyte website, http://www.gigabyte.com/products/pro...px?pid=5481#dl when you installed Windows did you
add the Intel SATA Preinstall driver before it installed ?

I've just reread what I posted about the driver. I read it as AHCI or RAID mode (For AHCI / RAID Mode) or do they mean RAID in AHCI mode, bit ambiguous.

    @Torquemada

    Memtest froze again

are you saying I should have installed something prior to installing win10?

  6. Ignore that. Time to pull the Ram? Did you install all the W10 drivers out of interest.

    I see there's a brand new Bios out 20/10/15

I just pulled all but one stick of RAM.
Installed all of the gigabyte drivers on the webpage

I hope axe0 hasn't cleared off. I'm only trying to contribute a bit. My apologies if it doesn't seem that way.

It is better to test the RAM by running a live Linux by downloading a .iso file and extracting it on a USB or CD, this because it'll run only from the RAM.
If it crashes, then the RAM is definitely causing issues, you could run it as long as you think needed.

    pulled all but one stick.
    rebooted, opened lightroom. immediately froze

removed that stick, installed a different stick in a different slot
rebooted, opened lightroom, imported some photos, during import got BSoD CLock_Watchdog_timeout & froze at 100% - did not reboot as it is supposed to

removed that stick, installed third stick into the same slot as the first test
rebooted, opened lightroom, went to develop module, spent a good 60 seconds processing an image, got BSoD Whea_uncorrectable_error & froze at 46%, never rebooted

removed third stick, installed 4th in same slot as 2nd.
rebooted, opened lightroom, went to develop module, spent maybe 20 seconds processing an image, entire computer froze

This is either bad memory or a faulty motherboard.

Please run live Linux so we can determine which of the 2 it is.

Brand new Build. BSod CLock_Watchdog_Timeout and Freezes.

No, it is another operating system like Windows but it runs only from the RAM.
If you are able to run it without issues then the RAM is not the cause.

I have asked someone for Live Linux, I am searching a lot for a download for Live Linux but I can't find anything useful.
