Windows 10: Brand New Dell Inspiron 5000 laptop with Windows 10 that won't sleep

Having searched the net on this problem, followed all the power options checks etc, I have not been able to solve this. The system will sleep if the time expires in the power options, but closing the lid or pressing the sleep button - no joy. The lap top has external mouse, screen and keyboard attached, have removed all of these and individually tested sleeping without success. Have put these devices on an old W10 m/c and that sleeps fine. And yes, all latest w10 updates are applied. How do I solve this irksome problem please

Dell Inspiron 5000 flickers on Windows 10

The problem is with hardware. My Dell Inspiron 5000 started flickering after 8 months of use. Sent to Dell. Dell fixed it. Now laptop is just one month out of warranty and flickering came back. Dell Inspiron series are terrible products. The best thing
you can do about it is not to buy.

 

Dell Inspiron 15 5000 series laptop- the audio software with welcome, closing and other audio sounds does not work.

Since I purchased my Windows 10 Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Series laptop, the Windows audio system doesn't work well. No Windows welcome or closing music, etc.
