  2. Windows 11 clean install on brand new SSD. Error message saying 'The PC can't run Windows 11'

    Hi all,

I bought a brand new Windows 11 home Pro USB to install on a brand new SSD. However, it say 'The PC can't run Windows 11' after keying in the product key.

I have flashed my MB with the latest Bios, enabled TPM, enable secure boot..... However, when I enabled secure boot, then it cannot detect usb drive nor SATA SSD.

    My PC specification as below.

    CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X

RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE 32GB DDR5 6000MHz AMD EXPO Desktop

    MB: gigabyte b450 aorus elite

GPU: MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB VENTUS 3X OC Graphics Card For Gaming

    Can you please help.

  3. Brand new PC and Brand new Windows 11 Installer USB Error 0xc0000001

    Hey All,

I have a brand new PC, Brand new WD Green 1TB SSD, and a brand new windows 11 official USB.
I have had two errors consistently with trying to install windows on the computer.

    General specs of the computer:
    - 16GB Ram,
    - RX6600
    - Ryzen 5 4600G
    - Gigabyte B550M F on the latest available firmware (rev 1.1 bios ver FB).
    - WD Green 1TB SSD

    PROBLEM 1:
Initially when attempting to install on first boot, install would work up to the point after you enter the reg key and present a "PC doesnt meet minimum specs"

    Troubleshooting completed:
    - TPM Enabled -> Disabled -> Reboot -> Enabled -> Reboot
    - RAM reseated, confirmed working in BIOS
    - UEFI Boot ONLY
    - Moved RAM and SSD to P0.
    - Remove all drives from boot order except the Windows USB.

After re attempting multiple configurations of the above, finally got it to acknowledge it met the minimum specs.

    PROBLEM 2:
Now it has reached this stage it does the first reboot for installation. The Boot partitions are created on the drive as confirmed in BIOS however, it will attempt to progress a number of times and then eventually fail on the 5th or so reboot. Throwing Error 0xc0000001. Of course Windows hasn't actually installed at this point so entering the recovery screen etc. all options fail and just cause a reboot.

    Troubleshooting completed at this stage:
    - Cloned an image from my other WORKING W11 PC and connected the SSD to the new PC. 100% working, can play games, watch videos etc. dxdiag confirms all is good etc. etc. i.e. - NOT a hardware issue. Would have rolled with this but its attached to my account and is education not home (as the USB we purchased is), so I can't cut over to the other user with the new key.
    - Formatted/ Cleared a spare Kingston 128gb SSD I know to be working. Reattempted all steps to here, same error code etc. (i.e. its not the SSD).
    - Repeated both steps above with the WD and Kingston SSD's into my WORKING W11 PC (Same MOBO, Ryzen 5 5600G, RTX4060, WD Green M.2), exact same error.
    - Used cloned windows to to "Reset this PC" - forced into education, can't progress past set up screen with new key.

I am convinced at this point that the USB we purchased (for 200 dollars mind you), is corrupt from the factory and I am wasting my time attempting to use it. Can anyone provide some insight?

My next plan is to frank together some old parts I have into a PC and attempt and install on a different motherboard, thought I really don't want to have to do this I've already spend about 8 hours troubleshooting as above.

Anyone experienced an issue like this before?

Brand new PC build - Windows 10 will not load - ACPI Bios Error

May I ask why you gave me a bad rating before I had the chance to reply to help you further?

Newer UEFI firmware doesn't have the AHCI setting because it is standard now as the SATA controller default.

If you tried everything in the list including re-enabling UEFI and turning off CSM to use the new features of the UEFI BIOS, what is the exact failure behavior now? Normally when someone does the troubleshooting steps, they report results to give us clues.
Normally when someone says they tried everything, they haven't really even read through the dozen or more steps. I say this as someone who has far more experience on the web troubleshooting install failure than anyone else.

Another step to try on new builds is to remove every component except what's absolutely required to install Windows.

But if you've completed every single step which resolve 90% of failures, then one thing you can try is to move the hard drive into another PC (alone) to install Windows 10 to it, then move it back to the target PC. Windows 10 is remarkably adaptive to new hardware
without needing adaptive restore. If it will start it will swap out all drivers requiring several restarts.

This will also tell us if the problem is with the install or the build. Then if necessary you can tear down the build and try over.
