Windows 10: Brand new PC, original Windows 10 disc can't boot

Hello all

I feel like I'm losing my mind... I'd really appreciate any help anyone can offer to help me with this issue.

So I'm putting together a brand new PC, all components are new, nothing is from an existing PC.

I am now trying to boot from the Windows 10 disc (an original disc from Microsoft). It gets to the "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD" message, and then when I press a key it loads for a good 3-4 minutes, then a screen pops up saying "Recovery. Your PC/Device needs to be repaired... The operating system couldnt be loaded because a critical system driver is missing or contains errors. Error code: 0xc0000098"

What am I missing here? How could an original Windows disc not be booting?

In case it is relevant, the specs are: AMD Ryzen 5 3400G Gigabyte B450M DS3H 16GB DDR4 2666Mhz Kingston HyperX 240GB Crucial BX500 SSD 1TB WD Blue HDD Corsair CV450 PSU

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows 95 Disc Won't Boot

Hi all,

I'm trying to install Windows 95 on to an old computer. The computer had Windows 2000 Professional on it already, but that's been removed and Ubuntu is now on there.

Before installing Ubuntu, I tried to boot from the Windows 95 disc but nothing happend. I thought maybe it was because it didn't want to change to an older version, so installed Ubuntu but still no luck. And by the way, yes, it is set to boot from the CD Drive first in the BIOS!

The disc is fine, I'm sure. I've put the 95 disc in to my PC (See system specs and sig) just to check the disc works, and it's fine. No scratches or anything.

Is the old PC too new for Windows 95?!

All I know is it has a Pentium II CPU @ 400mhz
