Windows 10: Brand new scuplt mouse (for Desktop, USB) not scrolling

Just plugged in the USB dongle for the sculpt ergonomic desktop and installed the mouse and keyboard center 11. Keyboard works. Mouse moves cursor and button clicks work. But the scroll wheel does nothing. In a browser window, if I click the wheel I get the scrolling arrows, but spinning the wheel does nothing.


In mouse properties, it doesn't matter whether I set it to move some lines or a screen for each notch of wheel rotation.


In the mouse and keyboard center, I have scrolling turned on. If I change settings not related to scrolling, they take effect, but scrolling settings do nothing.


Exact same situation when I plug the dongle into my laptop.


Trying different USB ports doesn't help. Drivers are up to date. Removing devices from device manager and rebooting returns to the same state.


I'm concluding the scroll wheel is a dud, but wonder if anybody has any suggestions?

USB Wireless Mouse Scroll Jumping

Recently, on Windows 10, when attempting to scroll the page will sometimes jump up, then down when I am scrolling. I am using a new Gear Head Wireless USB mouse, which in the past as worked perfectly well. I have tried solutions previously listed on the
web (cleaning the sensor, turning down the amount of lines that will be scrolled), and so far, nothing has worked. Any advice?

It is possible that the Vertical Scrolling is set to a higher numeric value. To assist you with your concern I would suggest checking the Vertical Scrolling to isolate the issue. Just follow these steps to isolate the issue.

• Press the Windows key and go to Settings.
• Click Devices and go to Mouse.
• Click on Additional mouse options.
• Click on the Wheel tab.
• Put a bullet on Roll the wheel one notch to scroll and change the numeric value to 2 or 3 (Depending on your preference.)
• Click Apply, then OK.

Check if this will resolve the issue.
