Brand new to VPN's. Un-identified public network?

Ok, so im trying to set up torguard to cover all my web traffic when im connected. Problem is it comes up as an unidentified network which pegs it as public.

This leaves no profile in the registry to alter it to private.

Now im able to force it to private ala powershell but it doesnt persist through restart so thats a wash. It can also be forced to private via local security policy, this forces all unidentifed networks to private however, and as i understand is far from the preferred way to handle this.

I'm hoping someone can walk me through how to get this tap9/vpn connection to be "identified" and as such labeled/made private in a more legitimate fashion.

Thank you for your time and help!

    :)

    Vpn ( trusted Vpn)

    Hi everyone.
I am not an expert about Vpn and that's why I would like to know if someone could list me a few trusted Vpns, I would really appreciate any suggestion/ advice.

    Thanks.

    VPN (Virtual Private Networking)

    Hi Julio,

A virtual private network extends a private network across a public network or internet. It enables users to send and receive data across shared or public networks as if their computing devices were directly connected to the private network.

    Always On

Always On is a new feature in Windows 10 which enables the active VPN profile to connect automatically on the following triggers:

    • User sign-on
    • Network change
When a device has multiple profiles with Always On triggers, the user can specify the active profile in
    Settings > Network & Internet > VPN >
VPN profile > Let apps automatically use this VPN connection.

For further queries I suggest you to post in

    Thank you.
