Windows 10: Brand new Windows 10 Laptop has no memory?

Hi, I got a brand new Windows 10 laptop back in February. From the very beginning, I've had error messages about low memory, and haven't been able to open more than 3 internet tabs at a time. Some websites like Google Maps don't work at all because of low memory. The internet browser keeps crashing. I've got very, very few files saved on the computer, because I mostly use it for the internet.


It's telling me I have 11GB free of 28GB, and back in March I tried clearing the memory, but there's very little I'm actually able to clear. I don't know how to fix it, but it's very frustrating. Thanks.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Out of memory? Brand new laptop, windows 10

I started using my brand new laptop on Christmas Eve. It runs Windows 10, has a 250GB SSD (or around that mark) and I cannot remember how much RAM it has. After two days of using it, I have had an error message telling me that I am almost out of memory?
I just don't understand this? I'm still figuring out windows 10 and it's a laptop for school work so the only thing it has been used for is watching Netflix.

Does anyone know why this is happening? I have so much memory left so it's definitely some sort of error.

Do I need to take my laptop back?

I have seen other questions similar to mine but there was nothing helpful and they are all from over a year ago so I was hoping that there would be some new information.

'Recovery (D' only has 1.25GB out of 10 GB free. Is this why I'm getting the message? Why is it full and what is it? Can I wipe it? Is it important?

 

brand new lap top battery

I ran the troubleshoot power option and it said “Display brightness setting is too high”

but it’s a brand new laptop, i should think I could expect the most from it.

I haven’t tried the next steps uou have suggested yet.
