Windows 10: Brand New Windows Activation Key not working

I recently upgraded to Windows 11 and I bought the license from the Microsoft store. The install went fine but I can't activate windows with my product key. I get the error code 0xc004f050 every time I try to put in the new activation code. I looked it up and this code means the activation servers are down or it isn't a valid product key, which it should be because I just bought it. I tried running the command prompt route to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have recently built a new computer. I purchased a brand new usb copy of windows 10 from amazon and I am getting an error message that my activation key is invalid. Is it possible that it is because of an old windows account recognizing an old product
key from a previous computer? I am just very confused on why this brand new copy of windows is giving me trouble.

I recently bought a windows product key from amazon for my newly built pc. I installed windows, inputted the product key.

All seemed fine. A day later it is prompting me to input the product key and when I do it is saying the key has been used on another computer. Baring in mind I bought this brand new from amazon.

Any suggestions?

There is no difference between the OEM disc and the Retail disc with Windows 7. A retail disc will accept a OEM or Retail key, and vise versa.

If the OEM Key wasn't going to work with the disc you have, it would have stopped you during the install when it first asked you for the key, not during activation.

What is likely the problem is that, since the OEM version has already been activated once, it is failing activation again. Activate it over the phone using the option given to you on the failed activation screen, and you shouldn't have a problem activating it.
