    Bridging wifi and ethernet connections – wifi keeps disconnecting


    Hi all,I am trying to use Windows to bridge my wifi connection to non wifi devices. I have successfully setup the bridge in Network Connections. However, the wifi only stays connected for a few seconds before it disconnects everything is working as expected, with wired devices having internet access, until wifi disconnects. This seems to be something to do with the ethernet cable being connected, as when I disconnect the ethernet the wifi stays connected.Things I have tried:Turning off power management and checking bios for any funky power management settingsSetting "Priority & VLAN" to

    Wifi vs ethernet-->wifi Bridge using router - MUCH FASTER with Bridge

    My main WiFi router is in my basement. On the second floor of my house I have one of these:
    Linksys RE6500 AC1200 Dual-Band Wireless Range Extender

    I get the best of both worlds on my second floor - I have Gigabit Ethernet ports and full WiFi speed. The advantage to this over a standard router for WiFi bridging is that I get the full WiFi speed out of it in addition to the Ethernet ports. When I connect to the WiFi extender via WiFi, it uses the opposite band for the bridge so the throughput speed is not cut in half as it would with a standard router being used as a bridge which would normally use the same band for both the client and the bridge.

    Wifi disconnects when ethernet plugs in

    Hi all!

    I share wifi from my desktop PC through the internet via the Bridge mode. It worked fine before, but after the update (PC haven't been update in a year) now wifi disconnects as soon as ethernet plugs in. My issue with that is if before I could just turn
    on PC and it would automatically share WIFI connection over ethernet, now I need manually connect it to wireless network each time.

    I have tried selecting "connect automatically" obviously, even tried re-creating the bridge. This didn't help. If anyone know how to fix this, please help!

    This is not helpful. I need Ethernet cable plugged in, so I can bridge the connection and "give" wi-fi to my other computer that doesn't have wifi
