Windows 10: Brightness changes automatically when playing video games

    Brightness changes automatically when playing video games


    Whenever I start playing games, my brightness just automatically goes down. I don't have any type of adaptive brightness settings, I've looked everywhere, and I have no idea what to do. I reinstalled windows about a month ago, this problem didn't exist before then.

    I understand that the screen brightness change automatically while watching videos.

    • Are you aware of any changes made to the PC recently?
    • What is the model number of Lenovo Yoga PC?

    Windows 10 has the ability to automatically adjust the screen brightness depending on the ambient light levels. This feature can be more annoying than helpful, either leaving your screen too dark or frequently
    adjusting the brightness levels.

    If you are using Lenovo YOGA 3 Pro-1370, I suggest you
    Disable auto brightness feature
    and check if it helps.

    Automatic change in brightness when playing Video

    Brightness gets reduced when playing video(full screen mode only). On moving the cursor brightness is restored.

    Have tried "Films and TV" app by MS and also Netflix videos.

    What can be done to set it right?

    Automatic Brightness changing / Adaptive Brightness

    Hello, I am using windows 10 on a desktop (not a laptop). How do I stop my computer from changing the brightness from dim to bright whenever I watch videos and play video games? I've already tried those methods where they say, "Go to control panel, power
    options, Advanced, then change plan settings, then Change advanced power settings, then go to display, then click on enable adaptive brightness off," but still, with no luck in solving my problem, the setting wasn't even on when I got there, it as already
    off.

    How do I solve this? The changing of brightness whenever I play is really getting annoying.

    (This happened after I updated my windows 10, then Rolled back because of some issues.)
