Windows 10: Brightness changes based on background color

When I go on a website that has a white background the screen brightens as well. I'm on a desktop pc, at this point in time I've changed my entire system, so this issue has to be something within windows and it's driving me crazy.

I've heard of "Adaptive Brightness" "Dynamic Contrast" "Dynamic Brightness" "Content Aware Brightness Control" anyone I've found with these issues has been using a laptop, I've found no such settings anywhere on desktop.

change desktop background color

Hi,

To change the desktop background into a solid color, see the steps below:

• Right-click on the desktop, and select Personalize.
• Under Personalization, select Background.
• On the right pane, click on the drop-down menu for Background, and then select
  Solid color.
• Choose your preferred color and it should immediately make changes.
