Windows 10: brightness doesnt change

i recently got a new asus laptop and after about 4 days i cant change the screen brightness. I assumed it was the screen itself but it wasn't.when i press the brightness up or down, the brightness slider comes up and the numbers change but not the brightness its self. ive tried factory resetting, updating all drivers and downgrading and it seems to work, but then keeps happening like a day after. i tried using the BIOS setup but no luck.please help i even went to waste $50 just to get it **** repaired and couldnt figure it out

• Press Windows + R key on the keyboard.
• Type devmgmt.msc and press enter.
• Expand the Display adapter.
• Right click on the driver and select

To manually adjust the screen brightness, we suggest following these troubleshooting steps:
