Windows 10: Brightness increase/decrease buttons not working in Windows 11

When trying to increase or decrease my brightness, I normally hit F6 to decrease or F7 to increase. However, this feature has stopped working. The brightness slider at the bottom pops up when I click F6/7. However, it can only be decreased by one length when I click F6, which is what is supposed to happen when you click F6 once, but even when I press it multiple times/hold it down it does not decrease any further. When I click F7, the brightness slider length does not change at all, unless I have clicked F6 before. More importantly, the actual brightness of the screen does not change at all w

In windows 10 brightness increase or decrease not workin ?

my lap DELL inspiron 15 3000 series got special buttons for increase or decrease brightness of screen. But now its not working on buttons and as well as i don't know other options to control brightness.

 

When I decrease my brightness it increases and when I increase is decrease.

When I decrease my brightness it increases and when I increase is decrease and when I increase to max it shows black screen and again when I decrease for max(black screen) it is showing very low brightness.

Laptop brightness automatically decreases to zero but if I press refresh, backspace, enter, shift or spacebar keys it stops decreasing

I have turned off automatic display brightness and I don't think it is a display hardware issue as when I started the BIOS i didn't have any changes in brightness. I got an old Lenovo Ideapad Yoga 13 windows 8 i5-3337U and 4gb ram working after maybe a year of non-usage. The battery is fine it works after unplugging the charger also. Now that those details are out of the way here is the problem.

Now the problem is that as soon as I start the laptop the brightness just decreases in steps all the way to zero. If i try to increase the brightness by pressing the button it decreases again at the same rate so I have to hold the brightness up button for it to be maximum then if I press backspace, refresh, enter or spacebar keys it stops decreasing and everything is normal. After that if i press any of the number keys or brightness decrease key (f11) it again starts to decrease. Please suggest a solution I'm at the end of my wits here.
