Windows 10: Brightness Issue on Latest Windows 10 Update, Lenovo Z400

Hello.


I have just reinstalled my Windows 10. And since windows 8.1 when i had to reinstalled Windows, my laptop always have brightness issue where i cant adjust it. Usually i can fix it by installed the last updated driver by downloading it in Lenovo's website. Last time was last July.


Yesterday when it's reinstalled, i tried the same method to resolve the brightness issue. But now it didn't work.


Suddenly there's a window popped out from Program Compatibility Assistant:

This app can't run on this device.


Realtek Bluetooth Suite

Realtek Corporation


This app can't run because it causes security or performance issues on Windows. A new version may be available. Check with your software provider for an updated version that runs on this version of Windows.


Unfortunately, Lenovo doesnt provide any updated driver for my laptop anymore.

So, any clues? How can i installed my last updated driver to fix my brightness issue?

Brightness issue lenovo z400

After installing Windows 10 Version 1709 Fall edition, brightness control function is not working for Lenovo ideapad z400. Has try solving using same method previously when Windows 10 first introduce to Windows 8.1 64bit PC but no avail this time.

I am running Windows 10 64 bit on my Lenovo Z400 and the registry edit below worked for me. I am also running the latest Intel 4000 graphics driver that I downloaded and installed from here:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/81499/Intel-HD-Graphics-4000-for-3rd-Generation-Intel-Core-Processors I installed the driver first but not sure if that is important. Hopefully a windows update does not mess any of this up.

Registry Edit Steps:

• Press the Windows key + R to open the run
• Type "regedit" to edit the windows registry
• Search for "FeatureTestControl" through the search:
  
  or go on the path: /HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/ControlSet001/Control/C
• Double-click on the FeatureTestControl, open the box to edit. Change the Value data field to:
  F00F or FFFF (FFFF worked for me)
• Close regedit and restart your computer.

recently I had upgraded my laptop to windows 10.. problem is with brightness in my laptop.. even though I increase the brightness I am unable to see change in the brightness on my monitor.. and I re-installed display drivers but the problem remains the
