    Brightness on Windows10


    The brightness on the screen in Windows10 is too high. I am conscious that looking at a screen that is too bright can impair your vision as I worked with a couple of programmers who were affected by this. In previous versions of windows I could adjust the screen brightness. Also I could easily adjust the template of colours so the automatic background in office products was not white but an offwhite cream which is much easier on the eyes. I have been using Windows10 for a while now but the brightness is really starting to hurt my eyes and I've tried looking for help on this issue but they all show options in the settings which I do not have. Does anyone know what to do.

    Hi ,

    On my Dell 5559 Windows 10 , brightness not working.

    Have tried few steps from youtube videos but did not work.

    Please guide.

    Brightness Control not working in Windows 10

    Hi Ella,

    To adjust the brightness, see the steps below:

    • Go back to Power Options, and tick on the High performance.
    • See if you can adjust the brightness.

    If this not work, we highly suggest that you create an Administrator account, and re-do the steps above.
