Windows 10: Brightness Percentage changed into 0% to Darkest, How do i change it back?

Hello, i have a problem, i cannot change back the brightness percentage into default instead it is named Darkest, Dark, Suggested, etc.

How do i change it back?

Windows 10 build 1709 - why did brightness setting on notifications panel revert back to 0, 25, 50, 75, 100 percent options instead of darkest, darker, suggested, brighter and brightest

After the 1709 build was installed I noticed that the brightness options on the notification panel on my HP G62 laptop reverted to 0, 25, 50, 75, 100 percent options instead of the darkest, darker, suggested, brighter and brightest options. Does anyone
know how to reset from the percentage options to the darker, darkest etc options which is what I prefer. This didn't happen immediately after the 1709 update which took place on 12/14/17 but just brightness options just changed on 1/26/18 and no updates have
happened since then. The device driver is still the correct driver and has not changed. Any help would be very much appreciated.

For clarification:

1. My laptop is hp Elite Book 8470p.

2. All of its drivers are up to date except HP Mobile Data Protection (But I don't think it will effect).

3. Before updating the windows, on battery icon in task bar, it showed brightness with percentage (i.e 0%,25% etc). But after updating it is changed to darkest, darker, suggested, brighter and brightest.

4. On startup, up to lock screen brightness doesn't changes but after unlocking as soon as desktop shows up, brightness increases and sets up to suggested (i.e 50%).

 

Unable to Change Screen Brightness of Laptop


So I'm not sure how long this has been happening but for some reason, I can't change the brightness on my laptop screen. I have linked a picture and as you can see, my brightness says 0% and that I can't change it, however my actual brightness is at 100%. I have looked around everywhere and the only responses I have found don't work for me. Here's a list of everything I have tried:
- Reinstalling Display Drivers
- Rolling Back Display Drivers
- Reset Settings on UWT4
- Power and Battery Settings
(UWT4 or Ultimate Windows Tweaker 4 is a customizer for Windows 10 and I thought that might be the problem but it wasn't)

If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this, it's greatly appreciated! Thanks! -
