Windows 10: Brightness Scale Gone After Overnight Update

My laptop just did an update overnight without my approval Jan 12, 2023. My brightness scale or ability to adjust the brightness in ANY way is now gone completely. I am angry as my job consists of computer work and I always have it on the lowest brightness. My screen is now glowing without a single option to turn it down.

Brightness control gone

Yesterday I was able to change my brightness. However, today the brightness scale has disappeared completely. I go on to settings and display and the slider is gone. Can anyone help?

 

I cant adjust the brightness scale on my Asus A43SA ! Please Help.

I got some issue, i cant adjust the scale brightness on my laptop. When i drag to move the scale to reduce the brightness untill 25%, it will suddenly black screen. Thats mean i cant see anything on screen. I just can adjust it untill 75% but it when plugged
the power. But if use battery, i cant adjust any brightness scale. I need to adjust it untill 25% or less to reduce the battery used.

Please tell me if any suggestion or troubleshooting for this issue. I am waiting for further step information.

Brightness adjustment gone

I have a W10 all-in-one desktop that I use, I used to have a little brightness button in the action center where I could adjust the brightness. (I could also right click and manually adjust a slider in settings)

I opened my computer and noticed that it was stuck at a specific brightness (even if it said 25% or 100% it didn't actually change the brightness)

So I restarted my computer and to my astonishment - it's gone!

Gone, meaning there is no way for me to change my brightness now.

Did some new update happen? This was never an issue before.

I just noticed that my Night Light button is greyed out:





And the settings for it are greyed out as well:





I assume they are related.
