Bro i have a big problem i was trying to install gta 4 in windows pc which has several setups one of these setups were that turn off the windows security and later on due to some error the game doesn't installed and i deleted the game asap but what i left with a no windows security and no defender in my laptop please help it tells windows security cant be turned on please help Windows 10

GTA 4 WINDOWS PC PROBLEM

Alright, I just bought GTA 4 from Steam for my PC. The first time I tried to launch it, it wouldn't do anything, so I uninstalled Games For Windows Live and installed it back from Microsoft.com. So now finally GTA 4 launches and it wants me to create an
account, and so I did. Then, I restart my laptop, and launch GTA 4. It tells me to sign in to my Windows Live Account For Games or whatever it's called, so I signed in and it worked. Then it said it was downloading my profile. It took a couple seconds but
it did it. Then GTA 4 says I need to sign in so i can save achievements, game progress, etc.... So I tried to sign in on my profile, but it said that my profile did not completely download all the way. ****......... I just paid $20 for a game and it doesn't
work....... So if ANYBODY has ANY information or help with this problem, please give suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated

Gta 4 crashing constantly

Sup everyone, i seem to be having a very annoying problem. I purchased gta 4 recently and i installed it and it runs quite well, my system is listed in my specs. The problem with the game, is that about +/- 5 minutes of playing, the screen gets funny coloured squares and my whole pc crashes. I have xp sp3 installed. I have tried numerous things like clocking my cpu back to stock but to no avail. My pc is not overheating, thats for sure, i dunno. My mate just told me that it might just be a bug, but it seems strange that i bug in the game would cause my whole pc to crash. Any suggestions?

 

Gta 4 iv crashes on start

I built my new computer three years ago with Windows 10. I could not get GTA IV or GTA EFLC to work with it. A month ago I decided to try again. I finally got both working with Windows 10.

1. Release Date Check.
Problem: would always fail
Solution: Stop when asked to do that, change the year on the PC to 2013, continue with the installation, when finished return the year to the current year

2. Run the official GTA IV Patch 8

3. Games for Windows Live
Problem: Game could not connect to it to login.
Solution: Games for Windows Live has been shut down. Get XLiveLess to make up for that.

GTA IV should work now. I detest having to insert the disc every time I run the game. To solve that I use the same little fix you do.

I also have GTA EFLC. I used similar steps to get it to work in Windows 10.
