Windows 10: Broadcom 43142 Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter

broadcom 43142 bluetooth device not working on m HP laptop. i tried to connect my bluetooth earphonrs as well as smartphone. i can pair devices only for a while. once paired it shows message "DRIVERS NOT AVAILABLE" at very next moment. If still i try to connect then it shows "that didn't work. make sure your bluetooth device is still discoverable, then try again" i tried all posible ways but cannot able to connect. please help me out

Bluetooth icon missing in settings Windows 10

Hi,

To solve the Bluetooth problem; click on settings, then click on devices, click on connected devices, in connected devices scroll and look or device manager. When you find device manager, click on it. Then look for Bluetooth in the list, it should be at
the top of the list because the list is arranged alphabetically. Then when you find Bluetooth, double click on it and then it should show you the name of your Bluetooth adapter (something like this; Broadcom 43142 Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter. You double click on
that as well and it will bring up a dialogue box, there you can reconnect your adapter because its disable. Look for the enable button and click that and everything should work fine. Hope this helps.

 

Windows 10 notification "This app can't run on this PC Broadcom 802.11..."

I have a Sony Vaio SVF14N13CXB running a Broadcom BCM43142 Wireless/Bluetooth Network Adapter.

This machine came originally installed with Win 8.0 and was upgraded to 8.1 and now Win 10. This adapter has always had weak performance and connection issues. Now that I have upgraded to Win 10 those issues continue with the addition of the Win 10 Notification
window at start up stating "This app can't run on this PC. Broadcom 802.11 Network Adapter Wireless Network Controller doesn't work on this version of Windows." I do have connectivity although very limited and need to be very close to the router for it to
work.

I have checked for an updated driver with Broadcom and they don't even list the 43142 as a model number in their drivers list although searching their website they have a Sales description of the BCN43142 as a Wireless/Bluetooth Adapter.

I have read numerous complaints in various forums concerning this adapter and Windows incompatibility. Does Microsoft have a fix for this yet or will I be forced to replace this adapter as junk?

 

Broadcom 802.11g adapter

Recently ( Nov 2019) updated win 7 to 10 build 18363. My Broadcom WLAN adapter which was listed in device manager up until yesterday (20 dec) has simply disappeared, although when looking in system under "components/network/adapter it is listed as installed.

Now I have no WiFi or Bluetooth connections listed or available in settings/ network & internet! Now I can only connect to the internet by running a 45 foot cable from my modem to the desktop. Everything was working up until (20 dec). I tested the half
card in another comp and it works although its running win 7.

I have read of problems with Broadcom and Win 10 is there any fix???
