  1. Broken FTDI Serial Port Driver

I have broken a serial port driver that I need. It was my fault. I shouldn't have experimented with libusb.I noticed that I don't get the bing bong sound when I plug in the USB Com Port like I used to.However, I uninstalled libusb and the original driver reappeared but doesn't work: "Device FTDIBUS\VID_0403+PID_6001+ZMDI_SSC_CB_V4.1\0000 requires further installation."According to this thread: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/i-have-win-10-v-1903-installed-and-i-get-the/f8e98d77-cc7b-49da-a7ac-59ec36b24c25?tm=1571356948589 Unfortunately, reinstalling w

    FTDI driver - help ?

Do you have a Model # for this cable? Do you have a link that you downloaded? Is it this? Drivers - FTDI
The USB Serial Port does not require a driver, but the cable that is plugged into probably does.
Does the driver download folder have a Setup.exe in it? If not, does it have a .ini file? If so, in the Device Manager, right click the Yellow flagged device and Browse my computer for drivers/Let me pick from a list.../Have Disk and browse it to the folder with the .ini file

    Broken FTDI Serial Port Driver

GSOD when plug in USB device using FTDI drivers

Thank you all for your inputs they were very helpful for me to focus on potential solutions. Here is the solution that I found.

    Solution:
In “Control Panel/Programs and Features/Uninstall or change a program”, the program “ASMedia USB3.0 eXtensible Host Controller” program was removed. Not sure why it was there.

Now, desired operation results as follows, upon plugging the target device into a USB3.0 port:
    a. In “Device Manager/Universal Serial Bus controllers”: the “FTDI USB Serial Converter A” and “FTDI USB Serial Converter B” install correctly.
    b. In “Ports (COM & LPT)”: the “FTDI USB Serial Port (COM3)” and “FTDI USB Serial Port (COM4)” install correctly.

There is no longer a "NOMORE_IRP_STACK_LOCATIONS" GSOD when I plug in the target device and the device works as it should.
