Windows 10: Broken Password Mechanics

My computer is now in BSOD WinRE, but I cannot do anything because my account password has "broke", and the correct password will not get me into the account to reset. I tried the previous password for the account, but it also failed. I restarted to the same result. I had people trying it all day, but it would not open. Is my laptop finished, corrupted, or is there a fix for this?

Password issue

After going through the steps to make a new password, after a week or two, my login credentials are no longer valid. I'm forced to make a new password all over again. It seems to happen if I don't login in a certain period of time. Does our passwords expire???

 

Long boot time and passwords missing

The only reason I mention the account is that a Windows update recently was causing people to be signed into a temporary account, your password manager may be installed for all users but the list of passwords would be user specific, therefore the blank password list suggests a different account. *Smile
