    Broken Surface Pro 6 after update


    What are my options when the most recent update breaks the device? I have used my device a total of 7hrs this year Feb and it hasnt been touched since December 2020. I ignored the update notification on Saturday and decided to install and restart on the sunday morning when it reappeared. So the update started normally with the percentage screen, then it went to a black screen with the windows logo and a circle underneath... then it went black. Since then the device hasnt turned on properly. I have pressed alllllllll the button combinations and downloaded that 11gb zip file to boot the device, but when the power button is pressed the windows logo pops up, then turns off. BROKEN. Because its out of warranty 1/1/21 they are telling me to pay £400+ to replace the item. Is this right? It was working completly fine up untill the “update and restart”
