Windows 10: Brother laser printer not being recognized by windows 10 & 11

My system includes a windows 10 desktop, two w.10 laptops, and a new windows 11 desktop. I have 2 printers: an Epson ecotank 3 years old and a 12 year old Brother laser printer. Everything in my home network works perfectly – except for the Brother printer. It does not show up in device manager under printers, but it shows up in ‘print queues’ in device manager on all computers and gives me an error message when I try to print with it. I ran the troubleshooter and it told me the printer is turned off not true. The Brother is connected to the router/modem

Can't Access networked Brother Laser printer- To print or use Web I/f

Not all Printer drivers are included in the installation media. Even mine (Brother HL-4040CN), you would need to manually add it to the list:

1. Control Panel->Devices and Printers->Add a Printer
2. Follow the steps to set up a network printer. At one point, Windows will search for available printer, click on "The printer that I want isn't listed"
3. Click on "Windows Updates". Windows will start downloading a complete list of Printers.
4. Select your printer name & model then install.

EDIT: Just tried to install as a USB printer for MFC-7820N since I don't have this printer to set up as a network printer. The result as shown in the list after clicking on "Windows Update":

 

Brother Laser Printers

Both printers show that the toner is at about 87% left.

One thing, I have a network with Three desktops and One Laptop, Two laser printers, and Two Brother multi-function ink printers. The ink printers work fine and this problem started after we added a new Window 10 desktop to the network.

 

Windows 11 and Brother HL_L8360CDW color laser printer problems

I have a Brother HL_L8360CDW color laser printer but after upgrading to windows 11 and updating all Windows 11, the printer will only print in fuschia! This printer is expensive with expensive cartridges. I am a teacher with a great need for color printing. I have searched everywhere from Brother to Microsoft for answers, but I cannot find a driver for my machine. Microsoft, do you have any plans to issue a driver to correct this problem? BTW my printer is wireless. Thank you, Desperate Carol
