Brother MFC-250C Send Fax from the software simply fails to dial.

Brother MFC-250C with latest software and drivers works on WIN 7.

Everything works also on WIN 10 except for Send Fax from the software

PC-FAX v.2.1 which at the end simply fails to dial.

Scan and sending fax direct from the machine works.

    Has to be WIN 10?

    Hi John,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand that inconvenience you are facing in Windows. We will help you.

This could be compatibility issues for the drivers. I suggest you to download the latest drivers for the Windows 10 and check installing, if the same issue persists.

    Refer: Brother MFC-250C

You may also check installing the drivers in Compatibility mode
and check if the same issue persists.

Refer: Install the drivers in compatibility
    mode

Hope it helps. Keep us posted to help you better.

Brother MFC J6720DW listed with strange icon in Devices and Printers

I have reinstalled the drivers for my Brother MFC J6720DW and now the printer icon is listed in the unspecified category instead of the printer category. The printer is the "Device" icon to the right.

Right clicking on the icon shows the usual items for a printer (printing properties etc.), In addition it shows a "Browse Files" entry that lists the card reader of the printer.

To the left of the Brother printer icon there is another similar one that seems to be my USB card reader
