Windows 10: Brother MFC-790 not Printing from Toshiba Satellite C655 after latest Windows Updates

Hi,


I know others have reported printing problems associated with the latest Windows 10 updates. I have a Brother MFC-790 printer that is not printing from Toshiba Satellite C655 that has Windows 10 version 2004. I use the USB port to hook up with the printer. I also have an Acer hybrid with Windows 10 version 1703 that is printing from the same Brothers printer. Consequently, it doesn't appear to be a printer problem.


Because I'm low-skilled in the tech area, I'd rather not mess around with deleting files. Will there be a future update that fixes these problems and when might this be available? My Acer hybrid DOES NOT have the same applications installed because of limited capacity so I really want this problem resolved so I can print from my Toshiba.

Toshiba Satellite C655 Win10 touchpad not working

I have a Toshiba Satellite C655 running Windows 10 and the touchpad does not work. Tried FN-F9, no go. Need help with next step(s).

Brother MFC J6720DW listed with strange icon in Devices and Printers

I have reinstalled the drivers for my Brother MFC J6720DW and now the printer icon is listed in the unspecified category instead of the printer category. The printer is the "Device" icon to the right.





Right clicking on the icon shows the usual items for a printer (printing properties etc.), In addition it shows a "Browse Files" entry that lists the card reader of the printer.





To the left of the Brother printer icon there is another similar one that seems to be my USB card reader
