    Brother Printer MFC-L5850DW - Appears Offline on laptop after wake from sleep


    I have a Brother Printer - MFC-L5850DW that is connected to over the network Ethernet with a reserved DHCP address. The printer has no issue getting the correct reserved IP address, it can be added to any computer with no issue, and immediately printed to. However, one user puts their computer to sleep and when it is woken up the Brother printer status on their machine shows as offline. I was able to replicate this issue on my laptop of the same model. The only fix we currently have is to run the troubleshooting in Windows for the printer to bring it back online.A few things I have looked in

    Brother MFC J825DW Printer is Offline


    Dangit, Microsoft has messed up my printers once again!

    My Brother MFC J825DW (Inkjet) printer won't print because Windows has set it to offline!

    My Brother MFC 7460DN (Laser) printer just trucks right along.

    Anybody know how I can get my Inkjet Brother back online?

    Printer always goes "offline" Microsoft 10 issue

    Why is this happening?? Brothers Printer MFC-L5850DW goes offline multiple times per day, everyday.

    Cannot be a printer error bcs it was happening with my HP also
